Over the previous three months we have had the honor of graduating 34 students in the Fall DTS + SBFM and releasing them back into the seven spheres of influence. We also have commissioned out the Winter DTS and SFMI teams to the nations. It has been a trimester of seeing individuals give their lives to the Lord and become the hands and feet of Him in the nations. People were healed and hearts were given over to the Lord through the teams on outreach.
With much joy our Spring Discipleship Training School has begun and has started very strong. The school has five students and they are on their fourth week of lecture phase. They have heard Donna Jordan teach on hearing the voice of God and Ben Nonoa speak on the father heart of God. The theme for this school is modeled after David’s character in the Bible: to be men and women after God’s own heart.
“I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.” Acts 13:22 ESV
Currently our base has three teams in the nations on outreach from our Winter DTS school! The Surfers For Missions International team in Taiwan and Indonesia has had the opportunity to be involved in communities and be able to walk out in freedom in sharing the gospel. The team was able to play worship and share testimonies at an open mic night in Taiwan and teach English in a middle school. The Lord is truly doing a mighty work in the nations!
When asked a highlight so far from Outreach Leader Timon Bischof he shared a recent story:
“Some of us went out to pray for people the other week and God guided us in crazy ways. We left with no plans and no translator. We asked a couple people if we could pray for them but they mostly said no. At one point we were talking about the difficulty we were having with the language barrier. Out of nowhere we met one of our friends and he offered to come help us translate. He directed us to go to the Arts Center because there would be more people walking around there. We met a man by a bus station. After talking a bit we were able to pray over pain in his leg. After a couple rounds of prayer the man was walking normal, doing kicks and felt no pain. He was healed. By the time we left he was shouting joy and praise. Our friend who joined us and translated was super encouraged and when asked if he wanted to accept Christ again into his life, he said YES! ”
As a base, we have teams in the nations and a team in the Spring DTS learning and growing in preparation to go to the nations
